The Day it All Went Wrong Empty
PostSubject: The Day it All Went Wrong   The Day it All Went Wrong EmptyMon Apr 12, 2010 6:02 pm

"Come on guys!! Hurry up," 18 year old Logan Holly called to his friends in his heavy French accent. He had moved to America around the age of 10, originally moving to Montana, then to California a few months later. His father was a French diplomat, so to speak, moving to America on business. Logan had met his two best friends, Melanie Fray and Spot Collins, in California. It was originally them, going on their monthly boating trip. Then some of Logan's other friends started showing up and it was common courtesy to invite them too. Logan was dressed incargo shorts and a simple white T-shirt with his computer bag slung casually over his shoulder. He rarely went swimming on their boat rides, it was usually only Spot. As Logan waited for his friends to come, he stuck the keys in the ignition and pulled out his laptop, trying to kill time.

Spot ran afer Logan. Spot was a 13 ((I know it says 14 but this is before)) year old hawiian boy who had moved to L.A. alittle awhile ago Spot smiled at his two friends Mel and Logan. Out of the three of them Spot was the only one wet, for the hour before he had gone surfing in his cargo shorts and white T-shirt. The three of them were going on there monthly boat trip. Spot usually looked forward to these. When they were a few miles out Spot allways jumped out with a rope tied around himself, to the protest of his freind, and swam as far down as he could go before running out of breath and than pulled himself up on the rope. Most the time he stood on the highest point on the boat for the fun of it. He jumped onto Logans boat and went striaght for the steering wheel. "Can I drive it today?" he asked. The awnser was always the same 'no' but Spot had to ask evreytime he was on the boat.

Mel Fray ran toward the docks where Logan and Spot were waiting. She wasn't usually the late one, that was Spot, but today she'd slept in and completely forgotten their monthly boating trip. Normally, Spot was the only one who ever went swimming, and the way he tied the rope around himself scared her half to death. She was always worried about her friends, more so than they seemed to be worried about themselves. "Hey, Logan. Hi, Spot," Mel hugged Logan and was about to do the same to Spot, but noticed that he was soaking wet. Out f the corner of her eye, she saw that Logan had brought his laptop. He rarely ever swam in anything but his own swimming pool, a fact that Mel found funny. At least she wouldn't be alone on the boat while Spot tried to drown himself. Mel had brought her camera, it always scared her to be in the middle of the ocean, but Logan always smiled and assured her that everything would be alright, and so she usually relaxed."Come on, Logan. Let Spot drive this time, it'll be fun," Mel, like Logan, was usually opposed to the thought of Spot driving the boat, but today was different, somehow.

The Day it All Went Wrong Empty

Lucien was out walking on Paradise Cove. He needed time out of the Hostel, time to himself and time away from the other kids there, the ones with family, who talked about their hate for their families. They didn't realise whow lucky they were to have a family. Lucien hadn't either, until the plane attack. He had been the only survivor and now he had nightmares every night, the memories of that day haunting him. The walk would clear his head.

As he walked along the beach, playing with the lighter he had found, he saw some people he knew. Spot, Logan and Mel. He'd seen them around, but not really talked to them before. He hadn't really talked to anyone since he had come over here. Well, apart from the shrink who was trying to 'help' him. But he didn't need to talk to him anymore. He was fine now, not openly depressed anymore.

Putting his lighter away to keep them from the eyes of people around (who would think he smoked. What a load of rubbish!" He didn't smoke, he just loved fire), he started walking over to them. It was about time he made some friends. At least, he hoped they'd make frineds with him. It was lonely been the only Brit around, with no family to speak to and no friends to confide in. Normally, Lucien was fine with been lonely, but now he felt like making friends. Bercause while been lonely for a while was fine, he didn't want to be lonely forever.

"Hey there Logan, Spot, Mel!" He shouted over to the group, feeling a bit shy after shouting out to them.

Lucien had a feeling today was going to be special. He was going to make some friends. But he didn't know what else was going to happen.....

Logan heard Spot's request, and was about to say no until Mel had requested the same thing. "Ummm.....Okay, sure, Spot. The keys are in the ignition," It was then that he heard another voice from a distance. He whipped around to see Lucien Davis. He'd seen the guy around, but they'd never really spoken to each other. "Oh, hey Lucien. You wanna come along?" Logan was a bit wary about letting someone he didn't know on his boat. I'm letting Spot drive the boat. That itself is a recipe for disaster. Why not let Lucien on? Thought Logan as he leaned against the side of the boat. Part of him hoped Lucien would turn down his offer, so he could spend time with his friends and avoid the awkward lapses in the conversation that never happened to them anymore. Another part of him hoped that Lucien would say yes, for Logan could rarely turn down the chance to make a new friend.

Spot gave an almost mushovious laugh. He than turned the keys. The motor hummed. Spot gunned the speed to about half, all the while laughing and saying "whoooo hoooo". He curved in and out of grounps of torist in the water. When no one was near them he started to slow down. He burst out of the seat. "Thanks!" he said a huge smile on his face. This was the best rip ever! Spot than tired a rope to his waist and ties it to the hand rail. "See you guys in a few" he said and jumped off the boat and started to swim down. He probally made it 40 feet. Than he ripped on the rope as fast as he could shooting himself up. He made it to the surface and took a gasp of breath. He held onto the boat for a few minutes trying to get his breath back than he smiled and said "I went 40 feet-ish father than i ever had!"
